Gilbert Crawford is set to host the largest Production Sale of Charolais Cattle in UK and Ireland 0n the 6th of June at Dungannon Farmer’s Mart. Over 100 Charolais from his noted Coolnaslee Herd will come under the hammer without reserve comprising of cows & calves, in calf heifers, maiden heifers, and a selection of Senior and Junior Bulls ready for work. All are eligible for immediate export.
Recent successes throughout the food chain have sparked even further interest in the Charolais breed and the NI Charolais Club is offering farmers and breeders an opportunity to purchase high quality stock on Monday 2 June.
Charolais bulls sold hot and fast at the NI Charolais club’s show and sale in Ballymena this week with four animals selling to 4000 gns and over and the 21 bulls sold averaging £2560.
Topping the sale was an April 07 bull from Brian and William McAllister’s herd at Kells which sold to James McCurdy Broughsahe for 4100gns.. Burnside Cedric commanded keen interest as he is the first son of Balmyle Vagabond to be offered for sale.
Plans are full steam ahead for the forthcoming Coolnaslee Charolais Production Sale to be held on behalf of well know breeder Gilbert Crawford.
100 Excellent females and 2 Stock Bulls will come under the hammer on Friday Evening 6th June at Dungannon Farmer’s Mart
