Important points for breeders presenting bulls at NI Charolais Club Sales
BVD VACCINATIONS
All bulls brought to Charolais Club sales from 1st January 2011 MUST be vaccinated for BVD
- For breeders intending to enter bulls for the Dungannon March Sale, the animal must have its first vaccine before end of January 2011 and ideally the second vaccine 3 weeks before sale.
- An animal can be tested and vaccinated for BVD on same day
- All breeders must comply with this requirement as laid down by British Charolais Society.
NO EXCEPTIONS
Compulsory DNA Testing.
ALL CHAROLAIS CLUB BULLS MUST BE DNA TESTED
Please contact the British Charolais Society office (024 7669 7222) for relevant DNA sampling bags. The fee will be £15 + VAT if hair samples are taken before sales and £30 + VAT if samples taken at pre-sale inspection.
Please allow time to request sampling bags and return the bags with hair sample to British Charolais Office, Avenue M, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2RG. They are the registered office, only British Charolais Society can prove DNA.
Do NOT send them to Mart or NI Charolais Club.
